Newfound Hallelujah - Heart Hours

This song made Song Of The Week on 4th November.

Titus 3:4-7 (NLT) “When God our Saviour revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Saviour. Because of his grace he made us right in his sight and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.”

Newfound Hallelujah is an authentic worship song by new band Heart Hours. The lyrics to this song are so simple yet so transformative, “... You’re changing me for the better, You’re changing me forever.” These words let us know that God is in a constant process of shaping us into people of God who are more like Jesus, and this process is not always how we want it to happen, yet God knows what is better for us in a kingdom perspective. His changing plan for us is to transform us for the better of us and for the better of the kingdom.

The Giant Is Dead - Dante Bowe, Travis Greene

This song made Song Of The Week 11th November

Isaiah 54:17 (NLT) “But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; the vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken!”

The Giant Is Dead is a victory anthem that is sung by well known Bethel worship leader Dante Bowe. One of the main scriptures you can find in the lyrics is from Isaiah 54:7, a verse about how nothing that comes up against God will succeed in defeating Him. The song focuses on the fact that because Jesus came and won the victory for us when He died on the cross, rising from the dead and defeated death itself, that this event is significant for us as christians that no giant can take us down with God by our side.
