Joy! He Shall Reign - Big Daddy Weave

This song made Song Of The Week 2nd December

Psalm 98:4-6 (NLT) Shout to the Lord, all the earth! Break out in praise and sing for joy! Sing your praise to the Lord with the harp, With the harp and melodious song With trumpets and the sound of a ram’s horn! Make a joyful symphony before the Lord, the King!”

This Christmas themed song by Big Daddy Weave is yet another musical take on the feeling of celebration when Jesus was born. We are called to praise God for all that He has done, and the Joy that God has called us to feel started when He sent his son to the world is something that we can feel so naturally!

Here and Expectant - Eagle Brook Music

This song made Song Of The Week 11th December

1 Samuel 12:24 (NLT) “Be sure to fear the Lord and faithfully serve Him. Think of all the wonderful things he has done for you.”

This is a song that sings about how we can be empowered by the knowledge of all that God has done and all He can do for us. “You’re calling me to greater things, The God who works impossible, nothing is greater, no one can stop our God.” This is why practises like reading God’s word, learning and finding out about God’s truth are so essential to our faith. It enables us to have new levels of confidence in God’s presence and His plans.

Love - We Are Messengers

This song made Song Of The Week 16th December

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (NLT) “Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever!”

‘Love’ is a song that shows the importance and simplicity of God’s love. The concept of God’s love is so simple yet His Love is so powerful. It never fails, let’s us down and it never leaves us dissatisfied. It says in Romans 8 that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love, and when we are living our lives on this earth, we know that the one perfect thing that we can count on is God’s love. It will NEVER leave us, NEVER forsake us, and NEVER fail us.
