SOTW - May
Miracles Happen - LIFE Worship
This song made Song Of The Week 6th May.
Deuteronomy 10:12 (NLT)
“He alone is your God, the only one who is worthy of your praise, the one who has done these mighty miracles that you have seen with your own eyes.”
‘Miracles Happen’ is a song that proclaims the power of God and the power in His name. It brings a reminder and a hope to us in this week that we worship a God that can bring about the impossible and that He can work all things together for our good. This truth brings us freedom and brings us hope for the future.
“In Your name, the enemy's defeated. Hear the sound of freedom, hope arise again. In Your name, faith becomes our anthem. Here in Your presence, I believe again”
Confidence - Sanctus Real
This song made Song Of The Week 13th May.
Isaiah 40:31 (NLT)
“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
‘Confidence’ encourages us to keep continually asking God for our confidence and strength to come from Him. It encourages us, as worthy children of God, to have faith and put our trust in The Lord God our creator, and know that He is going to sustain us in strength, confidence and victory.
Dance Like It’s Done - Influencers Worship
This song made Song Of The Week 20th May
*insert bible verse here*
This song by Influencers Worship is so inline with Sarah’s message from our Yeovil Worship Night. She followed the theme of “When God Seems Distant” and came through with a message around breakthrough. This anthem keeps us going and helps us to adjust our attitude to when times may feel tough, but to know that regardless of how we feel God has already completed the hardships for us and has been through all we could ever imagine.
Never Stop - Urban Rescue
This song made Song Of The Week 27th May.
This track provided our weekly dose of the truth of God’s love.
1 John 4:14-18 (NLT)
“We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love.
God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world. Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.
‘Never Stop’ tells a story from a place of being lost and feeling hopeless to how transformational God’s unconditional love can be in our lives. “Here in the valley of my soul, When I am lost and all alone. Through the shadows I can see, Your love is chasing after me.”
