Dear Friends

As you may know last summer we announced our intention to run a summer camp in 2020. But due to circumstances beyond our control we are announcing today that we are unable to take the Summer Camp project forward at this time.

We always knew starting a Summer Camp was never going to be easy and we were stepping out in faith on this project. We love young people and want them to have a great experience when they come to any Movement event. As a group of trustees we have been praying and looking at all possible ways to overcome these circumstances without any success to find a way forward that we feel 100% confident with in the time available.

We know that a lot of you will be disappointed with this news and we want to say that we are hugely disappointed too in not being able to take this project forward at this time.

We also feel it’s important to let youth leaders know now, so they will still have the chance to make alternative arrangements for Summer 2020 with a number of other fantastic camps and festivals that we know will do a great job of serving young people in 2020.

We also want to say that we are still fully committed to taking on the baton that was passed to us by Soul Survivor in serving young people and will continue to look at new ways of doing this as a part of Movement’s vision to engage, equip and empower young people to be all that God has called them to be.

Ultimately this chapter in the Movement story is a little shorter than we expected but thank you to all of those who came and were apart of it.
